Tarot Cups

The six of cups is a woman dreaming of her childhood or children, the nine of cups is the wish card where the old man rubs a lamp and a magic genie comes forth to give him what he desires. The ten of cups shows a happy couple and their children in their home.

The meaning of the cups suit is all about emotions, desire and the inner self. Love and matters of the heart are represented in the suit of cups. The season is summer. The element is water.

Queen and King of Cups

The queen and king of Cups follow their heart. They are mature, but still passionate and emotional people who use their natural intuitive feelings to navigate their way through life. Behind them, their kingdom sits on top of a cliff beside a raging sea where below, a ship is tossed about by the waves reflecting the heart and soul of the emotions of the cups suit.

Both the Queen and the King hold a cup in their left hand while another cup sits on the table in front of them waiting for someone else to drink with them. This symbolizes their need for others, for family and for love. A musical instrument symbolizes their love for music and for the music in their souls.
