Cutting Tips

I cut the deck with an old fashioned one armed paper cutter. I trim the edges of the sheet first. (I have already done that step for you with these.)

Scissors:

I trimmed the edges of the 10 sheets, and all you need to do is cut them apart. That is seven cuts for each sheet. You might want to use scissors. If you use scissors, a larger (not too large) sharp pair is better than a small pair.

With a Paper cutter:

If you use a one armed paper cutter, cut each sheet separately one at a time. Don't try to cut more than one sheet at a time, as they will slide. Line them up (eyeball them) at one end of the cut to the other end along the cutting edge of the paper cutter. (Don't trust my cut for a 90% angle.) if it is off just a fraction, it will be increase the error at the other end. (If the sheet slides around to easily on the cutting board, use a bit of clear tape to hold it in place.) You might want to practice a little with a paper cutter first. (make copies of the pages on card stock and practice on them) It took me a long time to get good at cutting and they are still not perfect.

Corners:

After they are cut, the corners will be sharp and they are difficult to shuffle with sharp corners. If you can get a corner rounder (they range from cheap to expensive) The first one I used was only $6.00 but it did not last long. I do each corner one at a time. I use one now that I bought for $150.00. I only cut one corner at a time because they slide around if I try to cut more.

Sliding Blade cutters: I could never see to line the cards up with those new cutters that have a sliding blade. I like the old fashion paper cutter. I use a small one, not a giant one.

If you don't have a corner rounder you mind find a print shop that would have one, or you can make a pattern and snip off the sharp corner.
